Read on to discover how we can help you save your best memories of being a Mum.

Keepsake Storage – Saving Memories:

Books Full of Memories:

We may live in a digital age, but there’s still nothing quite like sitting down with a book full of memories. If you have printed photographs do store them in albums, but make sure you pick the right sort. Avoid any that have plastic inserts, these can become sticky over time and damage your photos. Instead, use an album with acid-free paper. Once you’ve placed your photos in albums, place the albums themselves spine-down into archive boxes, packing them fairly tightly. Or using acid-free tissue to fill any gaps. Don’t forget to label your boxes by years, so you can find your memories when you need to.

We all have fond memories of bedtime stories, and copies of ‘The Tiger that Came to Tea’ and ‘Hairy Maclary’ will always conjure up the warm fuzzies. If you want to hang on to favourites for future generations be sure to choose smaller boxes to store books in. These can get heavy if you try to store too many in one big box.

Clothing Keepsakes:

When it comes to keepsake storage we have no doubt that you’ll want to hang on to their first booties, the blanket or sleepsuit that kept them warm at night, and certainly a precious Christening or Naming Day garment. Once again, acid-free tissue should be your go-to resource here. Wrap the garments in this, before storing in a box and taping securely. You could also hang garments, but avoid plastic covers and choose muslin or fabric bags where you can.

Well-Loved Teddys:

One of the most precious childhood memories is their first teddy bear or stuffed toy. Always clean or wash these before storage and make sure they are perfectly dry. after this, wrap them in acid-free tissue before sealing into a cardboard box. Be careful not to overstuff any boxes of stuffed toys to help preserve their plush fluffiness!
