All our containers are clean, dry, ventilated and new when brought to our self-storage sites. Initially designed to weather the gravest storms at sea all our containers are watertight and each one is modified to provide fantastic ventilation which ensures a steady airflow and stable temperature. A huge advantage of our units is the accessibility. No trudging long distances, balancing boxes while opening doors or navigating lifts with reluctant trolleys. It could not be easier – drive up to the doors, unload or pick up and drive off. It’s self-storage at its simplest and best!
Please check individual opening hours on our location pages before booking.
Our sites are fenced and equipped with CCTV, security lights and coded gates restricting access to Blue Bear customers and staff only. The steel containers are incredibly robust and secure; they are also fitted with a steel lock box over the padlocks to provide a further level of protection.
One of the great benefits of having secure sites is that it enables us to offer great value bespoke insurance packages to our customers. To ensure that extra peace of mind, we request that all our customers have an insurance policy in place to cover the value of their goods. With the cost of the insurance package that we can provide, why wouldn’t you?!
We are never more than a phone call away – any questions or issues our staff are only too keen to help. Got a storage problem? Just give us a call on 02039 812900.

Making more storage space at Christmas time
Be mindful about placement Keep your frequently used items at the front of your storage unit. This will help you easily locate and grab them on your next visit. Make a basic drawing that points out locations of different boxes, such as kitchen stuff, toys, books, clothes… then tack it to the wall of your storage unit.
Stack to the ceiling Stack boxes to the ceiling to make the best use of your storage space. Place the heaviest boxes at the bottom of the stack. Store larger items vertically.
Create an aisle Allow for a clear path down the centre of your self-storage unit. Place items along the walls, but be sure to leave an inch of space for proper air circulation. Don’t forget to face box labels towards the aisle so you can easily read them and navigate your things.
Storage inside storage You can save room in your storage unit by storing files or other items inside larger furniture such as desks or filing cabinets. Or you can use empty bins to additional smaller items such as stationary.
