Meet the Blue Bear Storage Team

When you store with Blue Bear, you're not storing with a nameless, faceless entity; you're storing with a team of people dedicated to offering cost-effective and efficient storage solutions. Like many of the best businesses, we founded our company out of necessity. In 2016 we found ourselves in need of storage space. We began looking for a facility, but were amazed at the costs charged by companies in the traditionally recognised self-storage sector. We began to investigate alternative storage options. In 2017 we founded Blue Bear Storage, based on the concept of containerised self-storage.

We believe that when you store your belongings with any company, you should feel comfortable that they are in safe hands. With that in mind, we thought you might like to meet the Blue Bear storage team. Today we'd like to introduce you to one of our founding directors.

What are your top 3 favourite books? Easy! Shantaram and Northern Lights by Phillip Pullman and Born Standing Up by Steve Martin.

And 3 Desert Island discs? I'm cheating. Firstly, anything by Bob Dylan. Then 'Gonna Fly Now' by Bill Conti (I love Rocky!). Finally, 'Everybodys Talkin' by Simon and Garfunkel.

What do you do at Blue Bear Storage? What? Me personally?

What’s the best thing about working at Blue Bear Storage? I get to see a huge amount of the country on my travels and no day is ever the same!

What’s your background? I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in London and have since grown an obsession for shipping containers.

What are the values that drive you? Passion, determination and commitment to our customers.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? I got given a flying lesson recently and absolutely loved it. But ultimately any invitation to do something that gets the adrenaline pumping and I'm there!

What Bear like traits do you personally exhibit? A hairy chest! Too much information?

If you were locked in a storage container with somebody famous, who would you want it to be and why? Harry Redknapp –  His stories would be amazing.

Finally, what are your favourite things to do when you visit Corby, Petersfield & Buckingham?

• Corby – Weve just started sponsoring ‘The Steelmen’ Corby Town Football Club. So, I can highly recommend going to a game.
• Buckingham – The gardens at Stowe which are run by the National Trust are definitely worth a visit.
• Petersfield – I love heading into the South Downs National Park.
